Our Manhattanville Development Group is proud to be a long-time mentor with the ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York, Inc., a weekly after-school program that provides high school students with real-world exposure to the architecture, construction, and engineering industries.

As part of this year’s program, students designed a theoretical student center for Columbia’s Manhattanville campus and presented their work at a citywide competition. Congratulations, students - we look forward to what you accomplish next!

Happy Pride 🌈

Earlier this week, the Facilities and Operations LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group hosted a friendship bracelet making event in honor of Pride Month. Staff made bracelets to share with their colleagues and friends. Plus, one for the New York Knicks for good luck!

Employee Resource Groups bring staff together around a variety of cultures and interests to provide networking and mentorship opportunities, facilitate educational programming, and foster an overall sense of community and belonging. All Facilities and Operations staff are welcome and encouraged to participate, regardless of their identity.

Work is underway to restore the C.V. Starr East Asian Library's historic decorative plaster ceiling, which had developed cracks and other structural damage. As part of the restoration process, design elements were carefully removed and cast. These molds will allow for the new ceiling to be constructed according to the original design.
