In the hard time of Covid-19's second wave, a number of students came out to prove that "सेवा परमो धर्मः ~ Service is the ultimate religion".🌺

It was necessary to give such students a proper recognition and platform where their stories could be heard. Yes, we know they did all this selflessly and not for the sake of recognition but it's important that people know their stories and can get inspired. They have set an example by helping people around them in these difficult times.💫

All we can say is "Thank You" for all your efforts. We are glad that our campaign was able to spotlight on some of the superheroes. We hope these stories have been an inspiration for many.🌻

There's always a silver lining behind the darkest cloud. All you gotta do is acknowledge that!🌸

'Once in a decade pandemic', as prominent scientists around the world are calling it, Covid-19 was as unexpected as it can get. With world's fastest growing economies shrinking, populous countries on the verge of devastation, it was the spirit of hope that made us all stand erected even in these tough times. We are proud of all the volunteers who gave us hope. The second wave of Covid 19 affected all of us differently, directly or indirectly, and in these tough times, people came out in huge numbers to set an example of humanity. We are glad our campaign was able to put spotlight on some of the superheroes. We hope we justified your efforts and were successful in giving you a platform you deserved. Meet Liza Tuteja from Maharaja Surajmal Institute.✨

She says,
"On a random day after seeing the condition of the people who live nearby I started this initiative. We all have the access to internet and we all are on social media platforms, then why not use technology and start helping people by sharing verified links of covid resources.

Verifying leads and providing with correct data was the biggest challenge. Moreover, for me juggling between two things was also a challenge. Firstly helping people with verified leads and then helping them come out of trauma they suffered and feel happy. But after things got normal I realised that just one click can save many lives and make our day."

We are grateful to Liza who on cost of her mental health, preferred to help others in coping with their trauma.🌸

"It was really nice working with the team. In the beginning, it was a bit upsetting but finally, it was a great experience as I got a lot of exposure. I worked on managing my emotions. And I just wish that everything gets better soon."

Presenting Harsh*t Sharma from University School of Chemical Technology who believes in helping others in need selflessly despite all odds.🌸

He says,
"It gives me immense pleasure to share my experience during the campaign of helping people in need of medical resources during the pandemic situation. I along with my team of Raunakein Care For You worked day in and day out to verify resources personally and refer them to the people who needed some help to save the lives of their family members. When I started this, I myself was quarantined in my room as there were some positive cases at my home. But anyhow, with an aim of helping others, I decided to work selflessly searching out verified resources, contacting them and then refering it to people. Glittering thing is that many people were benefitted by our efforts as they got help on time. And that was what gave us sense of motivation to work for them with more dedication."

We are so thankful to Harsh*t. We hope this story inspires you to step out of your comfort zone and reach out to people in need. 💫

Presenting our covid warrior, Roshni Thakur from Kalindi college who came forward to help people with everything she could. 🌼

She narrates,
"One fine day, I was added in a whatsapp group which was always flooded with messages of urgent requirement for beds, remdesivir, plasma and what not. That day I realised how worse the situation was, more than I could have imagined.

Initially, it was difficult to even find verified leads for vacant ICU beds, oxygen cylinders and ventilators which was itself a depressing phase. After contacting approximately 150 numbers a day, we used to get only a few verified resources. Even in those dark days our president Kim constantly supported us. There wasn't a single day when she didn't ask us about our mental and physical health. The whole Students' Union is a blessing. Each member helped and supported each other in these hard times.

This whole experience has taught me to value life despite all the problems and to cherish and appreciate whatever we have in our life. It was more of a feeling of gratitude towards the society.
With their support the journey was worth it."

Meet Anshudeep Sharda who made an impact with her strong will and dedication.🌸

She says,
"My late grandfather always used to say that each drop adds up to the ocean. Being a co-founder of a community-based startup, Speaking Souls involving artists across India, I wished to utilize the connections for helping to the best level I can. Apart from the artists, volunteers from NGOs too were receptive and went an extra mile even at odd hours. However, lack of medical resources, helplessness in getting succour for the distressed took a toll on my mental health. Another heartbreaking thing was the overcharging and foul play in spite of the curses of the pandemic we all are facing."

Meet Asha from Kalindi College, who shares her mesmerizing experience as a Covid volunteer.🦋

She says,
"It was a great experience for me. Finding the contact details of hospitals, verifying the leads and providing assistance to the patients were the main tasks, I did as a volunteer. Honestly, It was hard but worth it. The blessings I received from the families, who were unknown to me and to whom I was a complete stranger, used to make my day."

Meet our covid warrior, Varsha Singh from Shri Aurobindo College who came forward to help people in need. 🌼

She says:
"During this pandemic, I got a chance to be one of the many volunteers to help people suffering from covid and their family members. They also blessed me which is the best experience I had in this pandemic. All of us gave our best to give information about oxygen cylinder, plasma to the needy which saved so many lives. Loved to be a part of this journey."
