Amsterdam Law Forum Amsterdam Law Forum (ALF) is the official journal of the VU Law Faculty specialising in international and transnational law.

Amsterdam Law Forum is the VU University’s online journal of international and transnational law. We have a strong, inclusive and professional team of editors that together provide an editing and publishing service for our contributors. We believe in enabling young academics to publish their quality work. In that regard, we pride ourselves on the attention to detail that we give to each piece that

we receive. Our intent is to provide our contributors, whether established or young, with the same high standard of service. We publish four online issues of our journal each academic year, with contributions from both established professionals and young academics. Issues are not thematic, meaning they include a range of viewpoints on a range of different topics. Past issues have included topics such as humanitarian assistance and intervention, migration, and international criminal law - among others. We also organise one academic conference every year that deals with a specific issue. Last year’s (2016) conference discussed 'business and human rights' and included distinguished speakers from both the Netherlands and abroad. Our goal is to become an integral part of academic life at the Law Faculty of the VU and to constitute a reliable source of knowledge and experience for interested students.
