This Thursday! Implicit (subconscious) bias habitually affects our understanding, actions and decisions. In healthcare, it primarily targets marginalized and minority groups, and exists despite minority patients' socio-economic status, education, or access to healthcare. Consequently, implicit racial/ethnic bias indirectly generates healthcare disparities, and results in greater perceived discrimination among minority patients.
