IUST Hosts DC Kulgam Under CIR Coaching Initiative
Awantipora, December 09: The Centre for International Relations (CIR), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), organized interactive program with Mr. Athar Aamir Khan, IAS and Deputy Commissioner Kulgam under its โConversations with Civil ServantsโProgramme. The program presided over by Prof. Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST was
attended by the Registrar, Prof. Abdul Wahid Makdoomi, along with Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, faculty members, scholars and students. In the inaugural session of the program, Prof. Romshoo highlighted the Universityโs dual responsibility to uphold academic excellence while supporting studentsโ career aspirations. He affirmed that the CIR Coaching
Initiative exemplifies the Universityโs commitment to advancing skill development and fostering career preparedness among students.
Mr. Athar Aamir Khan (IAS) shared reflections on his civil services journey and underscored the value of initiating civil services preparation during university years, noting that they provide both a robust academic foundation and an enabling environment for such a demanding pursuit. Head CIR, Dr. Syed Jaleel Hussain, emphasized the importance of platforms that
support students in integrating academic goals with professional aspirations.The session concluded with a lively Q&A engaging session with students on preparation strategies and career pathways. The programme was moderated by Ms. Shazana Andrabi, and Dr. Urba Malik presented the vote of thanks.
