5 mistakes that stop hospitality CVs from getting shortlisted 👇
Many good waiters, hosts and chefs never get a reply because of how their CV is built, not because of their experience.
1.Listing duties instead of results. “Served tables” says little.
“Served 40+ guests per shift in a fine dining setting” shows what you can handle.
2. Ignoring the job ad. Recruiters and ATS software look for the words in the advert. Use its keywords where they truthfully match your experience.
3. Fancy layouts. Tables, graphics and photos can confuse the software that reads your CV. Keep it clean and simple.
3. Hiding your strengths. Languages, certificates and guest service skills belong near the top.
4. Sending one CV everywhere. Change your CV for each role, even a little.
