Alumni Spotlight - Mr Ziqubu Mthobisi

We are proud to celebrate our former student, Mr Mthobisi Ziqubu, who has been invited to appear live on Ukhozi FM tonight , 23 July 2026 as part of an initiative between Ukhozi FM and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).

The discussion will focus on the importance of digital skills in the workplace. Mthobisi will share insights on how these skills can be acquired, effectively utilised, and responsibly managed to promote their ethical use.

We wish Mthobisi every success and are proud to see our alumni making a positive impact through platforms that promote education, skills development, and lifelong learning.

We are super excited to welcome back 😀 Nomusa G Mdletshe to the Accounting Department as a Lecturer in the MIS discipline!

Nomusa holds an MCom in Information Systems and Technology (Cum Laude) from the University of KwaZulu Natal and brings a fantastic mix of tech expertise, student facilitation skills, and administrative experience to our department .

She is incredibly passionate about digital innovation and building inclusive spaces where students can truly thrive and master the tech skills needed for the future economy.

The Department of Accounting and Auditing recently hosted its Academic Support initiative for Financial Reporting 1, 3, and 4.

The first-year sessions were facilitated by Mr Q. Shezi and Mr S. Gumede, while the exit-level modules were presented by Mr X. Makhubu, our external departmental academic partner, who brings valuable expertise and passion from both industry and academia.

These initiatives are aimed at enhancing student understanding, strengthening academic performance, and providing additional support to ensure student success in all departmental modules.
