Call for Associate Partner: Fundraising Consultancy for University Incubator & Enterprise Development Initiative

Location: Durban, South Africa

Project Overview
Jonoka Development Solutions invite expressions of interest from experienced individuals and consultancy firms to collaborate as Associate Partners on a fundraising project for a local University's Incubator and Enterprise Development Initiative.

Objective
Catalyze sustainable social impact by mobilizing financial, expertise, and network resources through strategic stakeholder engagement and collaborative partnerships with local industries, businesses, and entrepreneurs, to support the University's mandate. This will be achieved by:
· Operating a vibrant Small Business Incubator (SBI)
· Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship
· Enhancing Enterprise Development and Project Management
· Address youth unemployment, reduce crime and build resilient communities on asset-based community development principles

The successful associate would meet the following requirements (among others):
· Proven track record in understanding of Shared Value-based CSI (Corporate Social Investment) funding
· Experience in fundraising consultancy for education or entrepreneurship initiatives
· Strong network and relationships with local industries and stakeholders
· Understanding of South African social impact landscape
All the above must be demonstrated through a portfolio of evidence with traceable references.

Deliverables
· Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy
· Identify and engage potential funders
· Facilitate partnerships between the University and local industries
· Meet or exceed fundraising targets

· Comprehensive Individual CV and/or Company profile
· Relevant experience and case studies
· Understanding of Shared Value-based CSI funding
· Initial approach and strategy with a sustainability plan

I am actively thinking about how we can involve youth in forestry. How do we make young people want to be part of this thing? How do we enrich the youth's conversation and make their demand for involvement in this sector firm and structured?

What are the existing centres of excellence in addressing the youth involvement question ...

I believe that the young people themselves have answers to this question - but where and how do we engage the youth with the natural interest and right attitude to succeed in forestry.
