The University of Limpopo, together with the University of Essex and the University of Manitoba, engaged Ga-Sekororo community leaders. The international delegation began its visit at the Ga-Sekororo Tribal Offices, where the team formally made its presence known and engaged with local structures before proceeding into the community. The visit then moved to engagements with Early Childhood Development (ECD) workers and community members, creating an opportunity to listen to the experiences, challenges and realities faced by those working directly with children in rural communities.
The discussions highlighted that protecting childrenโs rights is a shared responsibility and emphasised the vital role of communities and Early Childhood Development practitioners in creating safe, supportive environments where children can thrive.
Through research, dialogue and collaboration, the partnership seeks to turn human rights principles into meaningful realities within communities.
