InSession: NSA Deputy Chairpersons, Mr Nhlanhla Ndlovu, responsible for Monitoring and Evaluation, and Mr Skete Moshoeshoe, responsible for Finance, Risk and Administration, reflected on the importance of strengthening M&E, governance, financial reporting and accountability processes in supporting effective oversight of the skills development system. Mr Ndlovu reflected on the challenges experienced by the NSA’s Monitoring and Evaluation Committee and emphasised the need to strengthen M&E processes that enable the NSA to assess performance, identify gaps and provide meaningful advice on national skills development policy and strategy. Mr Moshoeshoe shared insights on challenges relating to finance within the skills development environment, underscoring the importance of sound financial management and effective governance in supporting the achievement of skills development objectives.
Collectively, their remarks reinforced the need for strengthened systems and processes to promote accountability, improve performance and ensure that the NSA is able to effectively fulfil its oversight and advisory mandate.
