HAPPY TEACHERSβ DAY FROM DAVID LIVINGSTONE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
Today, we celebrate the people who do more than teach lessons we celebrate those who shape minds, inspire possibilities, build character and prepare generations for the future.
At David Livingstone College of Education, we are reminded that, even though many of us serve as lecturers, at our core, we are teachers. Teaching is not simply a profession for us; it is a calling we take pride in and a responsibility we embrace with passion.
As lecturers, we have the privilege of preparing and mentoring the next generation of educators. And one of the greatest rewards of our work is seeing our students graduate, enter the profession and become teachers who are now making a difference in classrooms and communities across Zambia.
As a parent institution to many of the schools and educators participating in Teachersβ Day celebrations, we are especially proud to see some of our former students standing at the front of classrooms today carrying forward the knowledge, values and passion for education they gained from us.
Their journey reminds us that a teacherβs influence does not end when the lesson ends. It continues through the lives of the learners they teach and the teachers they inspire.
Today, we celebrate our lecturers, our alumni, our student teachers, and every teacher who continues to show up with patience, dedication, love and purpose.
To every teacher: thank you for choosing to make a difference.
Happy Teachersβ Day!
