Bindura University of Science Education is proud to have participated in the International Cultural Diversity Carnival hosted by Midlands State University. Joining a global cohort of universities, BUSE showcased how cultural heritage serves as a catalyst for Sustainable Innovation. The BUSE flag is flying higher than ever! Our incredible student-athletes showed up and showed out at the recently concluded Zimbabwe Tertiary Sports (ZITS) Games in Harare. Through grit, determination, and pure talent, Bindura University of Science Education secured an outstanding 33 medals (17 Gold, 9 Silver, 7 Bronze medals). From the track and field to the Paralympic events and high-stakes ball games, our athletes battled until the last whistle. But the journey doesn't end here! As we enter the CUSCA (Confederation of Universities and Colleges Sports Association) season, the institution is looking forward to having some of its talented athletes to be selected to represent Zimbabwe on the international stage.

From the first whistle to the final buzzer, absolutely dominated the 4 -day ZITS Games marathon! It wasn't just about playing; it was about making a statement. We wrapped up the final day by crowning several BUSE teams as the undisputed kings and queens of their categories. 🥇Buse Rugby, Womens and mens Karate, Tennis, Table tennis, Tennis, Pool women and athletics brought home a number of medals proving that the Buse is the ultimate breeding ground for elites, sportsmen and women. With CUSCA and FASU championships on the horizon for various disciplines, these four days were more than just a tournament they were a high-stakes audition. Every sprint, goal, and point served one purpose: hoisting the BUSE and National Sports Academy flags higher than ever before.

National Sports Academy- Bindura University of Science Education 400m sprint sensation, Anesu Nyahuma joined Team Zimbabwe, who left Harare yesterday for Accra, Ghana, to compete in the African Athletics Championships running from 12-17 May, 2026.
Anesu’s consistency in producing outstanding performances over the last 2 seasons has seen her being selected as the only junior athlete in the team.
She will meet up with fellow USE-based Academy athlete Tapiwanashe Makarawu in Ghana.
Other members of Team Zimbabwe include Ashley Kamangirira, Makanakaishe Charamba, Gerren Muwishi, Leeford Zuze, Dennis Hove, and Thandazani Ndlovu.
Zimbabwe is looking to field 100, 200, 400 meter sprinters, as well as three teams.
