Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE)'s two-day 2026 Mid-Term Performance Review Workshop commenced today, bringing together members of the University Council, Vice Chancellor Professor Mwenje and Senior Management to reflect on the institution’s progress, achievements, challenges and strategic priorities.
Opening the workshop, Professor Mwenje emphasised that “the review is not a routine formality”, but is necessitated by the need to reflect on the University’s progress, successes, challenges and areas requiring improvement, particularly against the socio-political, economic and environmental outlook shaping the institution’s operating environment.
He highlighted the mid-year review as an important opportunity to pause and take stock of progress against institutional targets, identify areas requiring attention, and put in place strategies to close emerging gaps.
The workshop underscores the institution’s commitment to accountability, continuous improvement, institutional excellence and effective performance management as the University advances its strategic objectives and strengthens its contribution to national development through Education 5.0.
As the University reflects, refocuses and recalibrates, BUSE remains committed to transforming challenges into opportunities and delivering meaningful impact.
