October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and show support for those affected by breast cancer.

At Firm Foundation Country School, we came together for a meaningful Breast Cancer Awareness and Fundraising initiative, bringing our school community together for a cause that touches so many lives.

We are grateful to our generous sponsors, Lobels Bread, for their valued support in making this initiative a success. Your contribution helped us spread the message of hope, awareness, and solidarity.

We are proud to announce that 6 of our students who represented Firm Foundation at the North Zimbabwe Conference Pathfinder competitions emerged number two in the First Aid segment.

Following this outstanding achievement, our learners have qualified to proceed to the Zimbabwe East Union competitions this coming Sunday in Harare, where they will once again represent our school.

This is a remarkable achievement that reflects their hard work, dedication, discipline, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. We also commend their leaders and everyone who contributed to preparing our learners for this competition.

We wish our six champions the very best as they compete at the next level. Let us continue to encourage and support them as they carry the Firm Foundation name with pride.

Following the recent hostel inspection, we wish to acknowledge the high level of order maintained in the hostels on the Form 1 Boys side.

The following rooms have been recognized as the Best Three Rooms for being the most organized, cleanest, very punctual and for having well-made beds:

1. Room 2
2. Room 4
3. Room 6

In recognition of their outstanding efforts, each room has been rewarded with a cake.

We commend all the students in these rooms for their discipline and exemplary conduct, and we encourage all other rooms to emulate their example.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding performance of our learners at the recent Speech and Public Speaking Competition

Out of 12 participating schools, our learners rose to the occasion with remarkable confidence, eloquence, courage and exceptional public-speaking skills, proudly securing 1st Place and 2nd Place.

This achievement is more than just positions on a podium — it is a reflection of the hard work, preparation, dedication and confidence our learners continue to develop.

We are thrilled and excited to share the vision for our new library facilities at Firm Foundation Country School.

Our library project will feature two dedicated library buildings, each measuring 250 square metres, thoughtfully designed to create inspiring spaces where our students can learn, read, research, collaborate and grow.

LIBRARY 1 – QUIET STUDY
A peaceful environment dedicated to quiet study and focused learning, giving students the space they need to concentrate, read and work independently.

LIBRARY 2 – DISCUSSION & PERSONAL STUDY
A flexible learning space designed for discussions, collaborative learning and personal study, encouraging students to exchange ideas and learn from one another.

THE LIBRARY COURTYARD
And then there is our beautiful library courtyard — a special outdoor study space for students who prefer to enjoy their books and studies in the fresh air. Whether soaking up some sunshine during the day or stargazing while studying at night, the courtyard will offer a unique atmosphere for learning and reflection.
