أعلنت دائرة التمكين الحكومي – أبوظبي خلال فعالية “عالم الذكاء الاصطناعي – أبوظبي” عن إطلاق مبادرة “إيه آي نيتف”،
وهي مبادرة تدريبية متخصصة في الذكاء الاصطناعي، طُوّرت بالتعاون مع “أوبن إيه آي” و”مايكروسوفت” وجامعة محمد بن زايد للذكاء الاصطناعي، لتكون متاحة لموظفي الحكومة كافة، إلى جانب أفراد المجتمع.

وتهدف المبادرة إلى تطوير مهارات 20,000 موظف حكومي بحلول نهاية العام، وتأتي ضمن جهود أبوظبي لتحقيق طموحها بأن
تصبح أول حكومة في العالم قائمة على الذكاء الاصطناعي بحلول عام 2027.

The Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi announces at Ai Everything, the AiNative Training Initiative.

An AI training programme built with OpenAI, Microsoft and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) for every government employee as well as the wider public.

It aims to upskill 20,000 government employees by the end of the year and forms part of Abu Dhabi’s drive to become the world’s first AI-native government by 2027.

Topics include a unified framework for tool-augmented geospatial reasoning, an approach for video generation that enables realistic rigid-body control and interaction, a method for fine-grained 3D point grounding and spatial reasoning in large multimodal models, an approach for protecting facial biometrics from malicious generative editing, and innovations in wearable AI.

Gregory Chirikjian, Professor of Robotics at MBZUAI, has received the 2026 A.T. Yang Memorial Award in Theoretical Kinematics from the ASME Design Engineering Division, presented at the 50th Mechanisms and Robotics Conference in Houston.

His paper, "A Model for Total Orientation in Three Dimensions," addresses a limitation in the standard mathematical tools used to describe how objects are oriented in 3D space, which record where an object ends up, not how many revolutions it made to get there. A figure skater completing three revolutions and one completing zero can have the same end orientation. The paper introduces a framework that counts the difference — with direct applications in robotics, where multiple revolutions can cause cables to twist and tangle. The same mathematical framework may have implications for how proteins fold and move in computational structural biology — where orientation and revolution also matter but have been equally hard to track.

MBZUAI launches a long-term deep phenotyping study in Abu Dhabi to advance disease prediction and preventive healthcare in the UAE.

The study will explore the genetic, biological, and lifestyle factors that shape health and disease in the UAE population, and support future research.

The country’s diverse population of citizens and residents from over 200 nationalities makes the resulting dataset scientifically valuable, with the potential to inform healthcare policy, clinical care, and drug development.

Spanning six models from 0.9B to 375B parameters, K2 Horizon is designed to support AI at different scales, from compact, on-device applications to advanced reasoning and agentic systems.

Every model is released with its weights, code, training data and methodology, giving researchers and developers the ability to inspect the work, reproduce it and build on it.
