“Looking back at the slightly overwhelmed first-year student, I can say with confidence that I've grown into someone far more capable.”

Our next Humans of Curtin feature celebrates Nimisha Soni, an international student who arrived in Dubai determined to keep challenging herself. Now studying Psychology, she’s finding her own way to lead, connect with others, and help people.

Today, she serves as the Student Council’s VP of Communications for 2026–2027 and is developing her own startup idea with insights from the Emirates Development Bank’s Future Founders Program.

Balancing her studies, internships, and two sports teams hasn’t always been easy, but each experience has helped her grow more confident in what she can do.

Follow along as we share more of Nimisha’s journey.
