In celebration of Emirati Women’s Day 2026, we are proud to recognise UOWD alumna Fatima Musharbek.

A Master of Quality Management graduate, Fatima helped transform museums in Sharjah into more inclusive spaces for People of Determination and their families, before taking her work in accessibility and inclusion to international platforms.

Today, she is the Director of Empowerment and Welfare Programs at the Ministry of Family, contributing to initiatives that support individuals, families and communities across the UAE.

Her journey is one of purpose-led leadership, public service and meaningful impact.

UOWD Media students recently showcased their creativity, technical skills and storytelling abilities at the BCM Project Showcase and Exhibition.

From purpose-led social media campaigns for start-up brands, short films, to poster campaigns, motion design projects and editorial design work, the showcase reflected the range of creative practice taking place across the program.

Meet Afrah Ahmed, UOWD Computer Science and IT Management alumna, now working as a full-time consultant with NTT Data Business Solutions Türkiye, where she serves as Product Owner for BSH Hausgeräte GmbH Global RPA Center of Excellence, helping lead the company's global automation strategy across more than 25 countries.

Her program has driven major efficiency gains for teams worldwide, a journey she traces back to the problem-solving skills she built at UOWD.

UOWD High School Summer Camp 2026 is officially a wrap!

Students enjoyed building business ideas, coding and exploring AI and cybersecurity, programming robots and building circuits, filming their own short film, and learning how to handle stress and pressure with practical psychology tools.

Five camps, three incredible days of hands-on learning, new friendships, and a real taste of university life.

Huge thanks to our academics who led every session, and to all the students who showed up ready to explore, build, and create.
