What does silence look like? How do you sketch a pause? ๐จ
At School of Design & Architecture, our second year BArch students are finding out through The Spatial Palette: Architecture of Knowledge, Memory and Gathering, a studio that rethinks how design begins.
Instead of starting with plans and grids, they start with feeling. Atmosphere, perception, movement and memory come first, explored through watercolour washes, overlaps and models, until they take shape as real spatial ideas.
It's a studio that trains students to think differently before they build, with rigour and creativity side by side. Because here, you don't have to choose between a strong foundation and finding your own voice.
The Studio series is explored together by Dr. Piyush Das, Dr. Arushi Malhotra and Prof. Sarah Taizoon Merchant, with thanks to Dr. Shaji Panicker and Dr. Bhakti More. ๐
