On 13 October 2026, PinkAsia Film Society proudly celebrates its 1st Anniversary, marking an important milestone in its journey of promoting cinema, culture, creativity, and social awareness.
đ OUR JOURNEY: FROM A DREAM TO AN ORGANIZATION
The journey of PinkAsia began on 13 October 2017, inspired by the vision and passion for cinema of Md. Mehedi Hasan KonoK. What started as an informal initiative for film appreciation, analysis, discussion, and practice gradually developed through years of dedication, learning, and commitment.
On 7 September 2022, PinkAsia Limited was established, contributing to the broader vision of the PinkAsia initiative.
Finally, on 13 October 2025, Md. Mehedi Hasan KonoK officially founded PinkAsia Film Society, transforming a long-held dream into a structured organization dedicated to the development of film culture.
Today, on 13 October 2026, we proudly celebrate one year of the societyâs official journey and nine years since the original initiative began.

To promote cultural diversity, human values, and social awareness through cinema while providing a free, creative platform for young and emerging filmmakers.

To build an inclusive, open-minded, and film-loving community where art and culture connect people, inspire new ideas, and contribute to positive social change.
đŦ OUR ACTIVITIES AND COMMITMENT
PinkAsia Film Society works to organize national and international film festivals, screenings, workshops, seminars, panel discussions, retrospectives, and film-awareness campaigns. We support independent and emerging filmmakers, encourage women and young creators, promote socially conscious cinema, and create opportunities for cultural exchange and international collaboration.
We are also proud to contribute to cross-cultural cinematic cooperation through our involvement as a Festival Partner of the BangladeshâGerman Film Festival, helping build meaningful connections between filmmakers and cultural communities in Bangladesh, Germany, and beyond.
Our initiatives also include the PinkAsia International Environmental Film Festival, envisioned as a one-day international film event celebrating World Environment Day through the power of cinema.

To strengthen film culture in Bangladesh, support the next generation of filmmakers, and enhance the international visibility of Bangladeshi cinema while building bridges between art, culture, and humanity.
