The Legal Aid through Legal Education (LALE) phase II Fellowship provides recent graduates of Law and Political Science and Sharia faculties an opportunity to gain practical experience by working in organizations that provide legal aid in Afghanistan. Beyond gaining valuable work experience and useful skills, fellows are able to expand their professional networks and ease their path into a legal career. The one-year fellowship is supported by The Asia Foundation through the provision of a monthly stipend for the selected fellows. These fellows are distributed across Afghanistan by the Afghanistan Legal Aid and Advocates Network (ALAAN), which is made up of governmental and non-governmental organizations that provide legal aid services.
The 12-month positions are scheduled to start May 1, 2021. The LALE Fellowship provides net 100,00 AFN per month as a stipend. No other benefits or financial assistance will be provided to the fellows.
Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
The legal fellow will work under the supervision of an advocate and learn from the experiences of the advocate, the relevant legal aid organization will build the capacity of the fellow in term of legal field.

Law or Sharia Faculty Bachelor

The Asia Foundation is providing a one year legal fellowship program for 100 recent graduates of Law and Sharia faculties in 34 provinces of Afghanistan.
