The Second Meeting of the Middlebury College Conflict Resolution Program 🇦🇷✨

We held our second session at FADU (UBA), a faculty where 117 students and teachers disappeared during the dictatorship. Guided by Professor Luis Angilletta and guest artist .javier, we reflected on how art and creative interventions serve as powerful tools for defending Human Rights.

A huge thank you to the Luisa Hairabedian Foundation, our guests, and the students for such a meaningful and high-quality exchange.

From Argentina to the World! 🇦🇷🐾

She’s a professional trainer, he’s a 5-year-old Border Collie, and together, they are pure magic. Fiorella Sampietro and Balto are a Dog Dancing duo—a discipline that blends intricate tricks with artistic choreography.

After 7 years without an Argentine presence in the sport, this duo from Córdoba is heading to Italy this June to compete in the World Dog Dancing Championship! 🇮🇹

"Every time we step onto the floor, it’s as if the world hits pause," says Fiorella.

Let’s go, Balto and Fiore! An entire country is rooting for this unique connection. 🐕✨

We also had the honor of listening to Awka Liwen, who delighted us by singing in Mapuzungún (the Mapuche language) and Spanish. This took place at the Teacher Training Institute N°3 (IFD N°3), where we were welcomed for a beautiful cultural exchange workshop. ✨

A hospital shaped like a crescent moon. 🌙 In Aluminé, we visited the Bi-cultural Hospital, a unique place where Western medicine and Mapuche traditional healing coexist and complement each other.
The building's architecture itself tells a story: its moon-like shape reflects the Mapuche worldview, designed to respect the cycles of nature and the energy of the land. It was fascinating to learn how these two visions of health can work together to care for the community. A true lesson in respect and integration.

Beyond the breathtaking landscapes of San Martín de los Andes, our study trip gave us the opportunity to listen. We spent time talking with members of the Mapuche community, who shared their current challenges and their ongoing struggle for land and cultural recognition. It was a powerful reminder that these territories carry deep histories and voices that must be heard.
This trip wasn't just about the views; it was about understanding the complex reality of those who protect this land.

Yesterday, we celebrated the birth anniversary of a true visionary and a pioneer of Argentine culture: Victoria Ocampo (1890–1979). ✨

Founder of the legendary "Sur" magazine, Victoria was much more than an editor. She was a bridge between continents, languages, and ideas. In an era that tried to limit women’s voices, she built an intellectual empire and became a leading advocate for women’s rights and freedom of thought. 📖

"To live is to learn to die. To learn to die is to learn to let go of everything that is not essential." — Victoria Ocampo.
