Coming up at the end of the month in TIP!

We are very much looking forward to welcoming the legendary composer Georges Aperghis in Graz next week for this upcoming workshop and concert! 🤩

Our students of and have been working very hard in preparation of his arrival and this upcoming project. We can‘t wait to share the result with you in TIP on April 30th!

"'Es [Das Kunstlied] ist in der Krise', postuliert Holger Falk und verweist auf sein Forschungsprojekt 'Re-Claiming Kunstlied' an der Kunstuniversität Graz, wo er eine Professur für Lied und zeitgenössische Vokalmusik bekleidet. Liederabende würden immer seltener zum Programm gemacht, die Veranstalter seien oft vorsichtig und mutlos, und wenn, dann müsse ein großer Mainstream-Name doch noch einmal die „Winterreise“ geben, viel mehr sei kaum noch drin. So die Erfahrung des international gefragten Opern- und Liedsängers, die er zusammen mit der Liedpianistin und Doktorandin Marlene Heiß bis Ende 2027 wissenschaftlich erforschen will."

On Sunday our PPCM students have the wonderful opportunity to sing in this masterclass with composer at the Vienna Kammeroper, as part of a collaboration between and . 🤩

Preparations are in full swing and we can‘t wait to dive deeper into Kampe‘s ‚Schwarze Lieder‘ and ‚Winzige Lieder‘ with the composer himself!

Join us on Sunday November 9th between 12:00 and 18:00 for some great music and a discussion with the Mr Kampe afterwards. 🤩
