🦷 Strengthening international collaboration in dental medicine!

From 13–15 October 2026, the Medical University of Graz welcomed colleagues from the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR), Brazil, for an international academic visit focused on scientific exchange, clinical practice and research collaboration.
The three-day programme included scientific seminars on topics such as implant dentistry, paediatric dentistry, guided endodontics, tooth transplantation, artificial intelligence in radiology, and the relationship between periodontal health and systemic diseases.
The delegation also visited the Dental School’s departments, the Biobank, and the Division of Macroscopic and Clinical Anatomy. Student clinical case presentations, academic discussions and institutional meetings provided opportunities to exchange expertise and explore future areas of collaboration.

🤝 The visit strengthened the academic ties between UNIFOR and Med Uni Graz and laid the groundwork for continued cooperation in dental education, clinical practice and research.

It's Pub Quiz time! 🍻

Med Uni Graz is celebrating with an international pub quiz for incoming and outgoing students, regular students and buddies. There are still spots left!

📅 Wednesday, 14 October 2026, 6:00 pm
📍 Irish Pub (location will be given after registration)

⚠️ Please note: Registration is required. Sign up by 12 October via email to [email protected]. Seats are limited and spots are given out on a first-come, first-served basis.

One drink per person and snacks for the tables are on us. Teams of up to 5 people will be formed at random 🎲 so come alone or with friends.

🇩🇿🌍 Rückblick auf die 4. Africa-UniNet General Assembly in Algerien

Diese Woche kamen Hochschul- und Forschungspartner:innen aus Afrika und Österreich an der University of Saïda Dr. Moulay Tahar zusammen, um wissenschaftlichen Austausch, nachhaltige Kooperationen und gemeinsame Zukunftsperspektiven zu stärken. 🤝🔬🌱

Unsere stellvertretende Leitung der OE Exzellenzentwicklung und Internationalisierung, Heidrun Mörtl, war Teil des Treffens und moderierte die Session „Shaping Sustainable Futures through Health and Technology“. 🎤

Im Mittelpunkt standen innovative Ansätze an der Schnittstelle von Gesundheit, Technologie und nachhaltiger Entwicklung. 🩺💻

Wir bedanken uns bei Africa-UniNet und der University of Saïda für die inspirierende Organisation, die wertvollen Gespräche und die vielen neuen Impulse für die internationale Zusammenarbeit. ✨

This week, higher education and research partners from across Africa and Austria met at the University of Saïda Dr. Moulay Tahar to strengthen scientific exchange, sustainable partnerships and shared perspectives for the future. 🤝🔬🌱

Our Deputy Head of the Organisational Unit for Excellence Development and Internationalisation, Heidrun Mörtl, took part in the meeting and moderated the session “Shaping Sustainable Futures through Health and Technology.” 🎤

The session explored innovative approaches at the intersection of health, technology and sustainable development. 🩺💻

We would like to thank Africa-UniNet and the University of Saïda for the inspiring event, valuable conversations and many new ideas for international cooperation. ✨
