➡️Meet our Best of South-East 2022/2023 generation • IVANA RISTIC –INTERN
"Regards to you all! I am Ivana Ristic, a 26 year old soprano from Brcko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2017 I moved to Austria to study Solo (Opera) singing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, where I also continued with the Master degree program in October, 2021. In the summer of 2022, I applied for the Best of South-East scholarship. Soon after that, I was invited for an audition in the Graz Opera House and, after auditions ended, it was announced I was the recipient of the scholarship. It is needless to say how happy and honored I am to have this opportunity to be supported by the Steiermärkische Sparkasse and have collaboration with the Graz Opera House. This scholarship enables me to focus even more on my personal and professional development as a young artist and enrich myself with experiences gained through the mentioned collaboration with the Graz Opera House and by attending competitions, masterclasses etc. To be honest, I am very excited to see which paths will be unveiled to me in the following two years, thanks to this scholarship and the opportunities it brings.This scholarship is truly a great chance for young singers like me. "
✉️Message to future Best of South-East scholarship applicants: To sum up, I would kindly recommend every young singer to apply for this scholarship. If they get this the opportunity, cultural enrichment is at the palm of their hands: they can extend their knowledge about arts in general and expand their horizons. And, if you have never been to Graz or Austria, it is going to be more than interesting to get to know the country, the city and all it has to offer.
