In April 2025 the doctoral programme Atoms, Light, and Molecules (DK ALM) at the University of Innsbruck, organized for the first time a master course designed specifically for master physics students interested in broadening their knowledge and engaging with leading experts in the field.
This course was not just about lectures; it had been a platform for building scientific networks and collaborations not matter if the participants will plan potential joint projects, refine their research interests, or simply wanted to gain inspiration for the own academic journey.

Our first DK ALM Physic Colloquium pretalk was given by Sruthi Purushu M. on Photodetachment spectroscopic studies of cold, trapped negative ions on January 28th. The talk by Christiane Helling, TU Graz and Space Research Institute, ÖAW gave insights on Exoplanets in our front yards: Gas giant exoplanets and their climate regimes.
Roland Wester, DK ALM speaker, handed over the DK ALM Supplements to Lea M. Trenkwalder, group Hans J. Briegel, who is part of the Seeker cardgame invention groups. Lea has already started to work for Onestone Studios, the spin-off of the invention group last year. Starting in June 2024 she took over the part time position for Scientific Management for the Innsbruck Physics Research Center at the University.
