European Universities are intended to represent a new form of cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe with the long-term goal of strengthening the excellence the European Higher Education Area. Through its novel approach it, on the one hand, holistically contributes to the highly topical issue of Sustainable Consumption and Production under the umbrella of Sustainable Developme

nt Goal 12, and on the other hand it effectively contributes to the development of the European Higher Education Area complimentarily to Sustainable Development Goal 4. 🌍 Exciting news for student mobility in Europe!
EURECA-PRO has signed an alliance-wide agreement on automatic module recognition across its nine partner universities 🎓✨

This important milestone means students will benefit from:
✔️ Easier recognition of courses completed abroad
✔️ More flexible international study opportunities
✔️ Reduced administrative barriers
✔️ A smoother, more connected European university experience

The agreement was officially signed during Review Week at Universidad de León, reinforcing EURECA-PRO’s commitment to building a truly integrated European Higher Education Area for nearly 120,000 students across the alliance.

By strengthening academic cooperation and making mobility more accessible, EURECA-PRO continues to create new opportunities for international learning and collaboration across Europe 🇪🇺📚

🌱 Young Eco Heroes in action!

🌍 Young, environmentally aware, and confident in English — this perfectly describes the sixth-grade students from Primary School No. 4 in Mikołów who participated in the international project Young Eco Heroes together with the Silesian University of Technology, the Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης / Technical University of Crete, and Hochschule Mittweida.

💬 As part of the project, students developed and presented workshops on sustainable consumption and production, with the final outcomes showcased on 27 April 2026 at the Municipal Public Library in Mikołów.

♻️ Through creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning, the students explored sustainability, discovered ways to give waste materials a second life, and developed practical solutions for a more responsible future.

🚀 European Universities as Drivers of Innovation for the Universities of the Future

🗓️ On April 30, Montanuniversität Leoben and University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten, together with their alliances EURECA-PRO and E³UDRES², hosted a high-level event at MuseumsQuartier Vienna to discuss the University Strategy 2040.

🌍 The event brought together representatives from the European Commission, the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research, as well as universities and student organisations—highlighting the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of higher education across Europe.

🎤 Rector Peter Moser (Technical University of Leoben) and Susanne Feiel (Technical University of Leoben) represented EURECA-PRO and were among the speakers in the panel discussion.

😊 Against this background, representatives of European Universities developed a joint position paper for the University Strategy 2040, contributing shared insights, best practice examples, and experience to future-oriented higher education policy.

The Université de Lorraine is offering Master Grants for the EMerald programme (Georesources Engineering) as part of the EURECA-PRO Sustainable Mining initiative.

💰 What’s included:

• Full tuition coverage
• €1,000/month for thesis or internship (up to 6 months)
• Erasmus+ mobility support

📍 Applicants must commit to completing a thesis or internship co-supervised by a laboratory from the Université de Lorraine and a partner institution’s lab within the EURECA-PRO Alliance.

📍 Requirement: Thesis/internship co-supervised between Université de Lorraine and a EURECA-PRO partner lab.

🫴 Join an intensive, hands-on training experience at the Technical University of Leoben designed to strengthen your project proposal writing and project management skills.

Over five days, participants will learn how to:

📌 Develop strong project proposals and applications
📌 Design project structures and define work packages
📌 Plan budgets, resources, and project portfolios
📌 Apply practical project management methods
