CMOphthalmology Lab

CMOphthalmology Lab Recent advances in Eye, Retina and Stem cell research from the CMOphthalmology Lab JKU Linz Austria

The Cellular and Molecular (CM)Ophthalmology is a research laboratory of the University Clinic for Ophthalmology and Optometry at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. In this page we would like to introduce you into the exciting world of eye research and stem cell research and follow the recent advances in the field to treat blindness and retinal dystrophy diseases. We are developing novel

retinal prosthesis and using human retinal organoids as in vitro models for the purpose to better understand the prosthesis function and efficiency on retinal cells at the cellular and molecular levels. Hopefully, in the future, new strategies to cure retinal diseases can be achieved, but we have to work together...students, professors, scientists,...

In the meanwhile we provide here easy comprehensive info and updates from this progress
Stay tuned!
