🌍 Welcome to Salzburg!

A great start to the 2026/27 academic year: Around 150 international students were warmly welcomed at this year’s Welcome Reception hosted by the Salzburg Higher Education Conference at FH Salzburg.

Following the opening remarks by the rectors of Salzburg’s higher education institutions, a musical performance by the Salzburger Kulturvereinigung offered the guests a special glimpse into the region’s rich cultural life. During the subsequent get-together, students had the opportunity to connect, exchange experiences, and build their first networks.

We wish all international students a successful start and many unforgettable experiences in Salzburg! ✨

✨People come first.

For Sarah Bauernberger, supporting people in challenging situations was more than just a career aspiration from an early age. She has been volunteering with emergency medical services since she was 17, laying the foundation for her path into nursing.

Through her bachelor’s degree in Health and Nursing at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences, she deepened her knowledge and gained valuable experience in the healthcare sector through numerous internships. Today, she works in the Pulmonology Department at the Salzburg State Hospitals, supporting patients with expertise, empathy, and great dedication. 💙

Her studies have shaped her not only professionally but also personally: “The work has strengthened my character. You learn to take on responsibility and grow through challenges.”

Dear Sarah, congratulations on graduating, and we wish you continued success!
