Yesterday morning, our campus came alive for the last Piscine of 2026 and the second one for our next cohort! We have another fantastic group in the pool, combining new participants with returning candidates taking on the challenge once again. ๐Ÿ”ฅโœจ

No teachers, no lectures, just pure peer-to-peer learning. For the next four weeks, everyone will be coding, problem-solving, and pushing through tough tasks together to earn their place at 42 Vienna. ๐Ÿฆพ

This September, 42 Vienna is flying to France for an epic community trip! We will start with a stopover to visit the 42 Paris campus, stay the night in their dorms, and then head straight to Forty2 on the island of Olรฉron. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐Ÿ’ป

Forty2 brings together tech and summer camp energy! Located just 200 meters from the beach, our students and members of the Bocal team will enjoy 24/7 cluster access for coding sessions, alongside beach volleyball, ping-pong, foosball, and beach hangs right outside the door. โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ“

To win the limited spots for this trip, students competed in "42 Galactic War", a game coded from scratch in just three weeks by Emre, a 42 Vienna Common Core graduate and current Head of Pedagogy at 42 Wels! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŽฎ

Yesterday afternoon, we adapted our summer BBQ plans and turned it into an epic community picnic on the Donauinsel! Everyone brought food, drinks, and great energy. We spent the afternoon swimming, playing card games, throwing balls around, and just enjoying the sun together. ๐ŸŒŠโšฝ๏ธ

It was super special to have our active students mixing with our Common Core grads who came back from their tech jobs just to chill with the community! The ultimate highlight? An incredible standup comedy performance by one of our students, Kian, who had everyone laughing out loud! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐ŸŽค

How do you tackle one of the most challenging projects in the 42 curriculum? With creativity, logic, and a big box of building blocks! ๐Ÿงฉ

The minishell project requires students to recreate a simplified version of a command line shell. It involves a deep understanding of processes, file descriptors, and system architecture. Instead of just jumping into the code, this student took a step back to physically build and visualize the program's workflow on the floor.

This is a perfect example of how our students approach complex software engineering problems: with curiosity, resourceful teamwork, and hands-on logic. ๐Ÿ‘ฅโœจ

Yesterday morning, our campus transformed as a brand new cohort dove headfirst into the legendary 42 Vienna pool! For the next four weeks, these candidates are leaving traditional school models behind to take on the ultimate software engineering challenge. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”ฅ
