Die Studienvertretung Doktorat vertritt an der WU alle Studierende in Angelegenheiten, die ihr Doktorats- oder PhD-Studium betreffen. Beratung und Vernetzung sind uns ein besonderes Anliegen.

Admission and Re-registration deadlines

Dear all,

Admission and re-registration period (general enrollment period) July 12, 2021 – September 05, 2021
Extended enrollment period (tuition fees increase by 10%) September 06, 2021 – November 30, 2021

If you have not re-registered by the end of the extended enrollment/re-registration period, you will be automatically unenrolled from your degree program. You will NOT be able to take any further examinations, submit credit transfer applications, etc.

At the end of the semester, we would like to offer a teaching workshop- maybe a good opportunity to reflect about the semester or to get ideas for those who will start teaching soon :)

The title is:

Transforming my classroom: Young academics explore possibilities for lively teaching

The workshop will be facilitated by Sven-David Pfau (he/him).
Sven is a Vienna-based group facilitator and trainer in political youth and adult education. He is passionate about creating learning spaces for social-ecological transformation.

Time and place:
The workshop will take place July 1st, 1-5pm. Weather permitting, it will take place in Prater adjacent to the WU campus. If the weather is not suitable, the workshop will take place online instead.

Registration:
Due to COVID regulations we can accept a maximum of 13 people for the in-person workshop. Please forward you request to [email protected] if you would like to attend the workshop.

Dear fellow doctoral and PhD students!
The elections of the Austrian Students’ Union (ÖH) are taking place this week between 18th -20th of May 2021!
We, the old team and the new candidates for the student representation of the doctoral and PhD programs would like you to vote for us!

Please remember: you can cast a vote on three levels:
*1 vote for a political group for the national parliament of the Austrian Students’ Union (ÖH Bundesvertretung),
*1 vote for a political group for the students’ parliament at WU (Universitätsvertretung WU),
* 5 votes for the candidates of the student representation for the doctoral and PhD programs at WU (Studienvertretung Doktorat)

Also important: if you want to do the postal vote, you can ONLY vote for the federal body of representatives as well as the uni-level representatives, however not for the STV!
If you have already ordered a postal vote and not returned it, yet, you can still go to the elections and vote for the STV by bringing your voting card!

Get out and vote!

Bist du schon rückgemeldet?

Heute am 30. September 2020 endet die Zulassungs- und Rückmeldungsfrist. Also am besten heute noch im bei den SB-Terminals im LC rückmelden.

Die Nachfrist für das Wintersemester 2020/21 läuft vom 1. Oktober bis 30. November bei einem 10% höheren Studienbeitrag.

Thanks to the engagement of the ÖH WU and its political groups, the carrels at the central library can be used again from September on! Applications for September can be made from August 22 until August 26, 2020 via Rooms.

Attention: If you want to book a carrel for October, you can apply from September 1 until September 10, 2020. From October onwards, Carrels may be booked one month in advance, until the 10th of the preceding month.
