Alternative Economic and Monetary Systems (AEMS) is an interdisciplinary summer school focusing on alternatives to the economic status quo. International participants deal with limits of growth, as well as the instabilities of our financial system. They learn why a drastic system change is necessary to reach the target of stabilizing the world climate at 1.5°C and, most importantly, they are prese

nted with an array of innovative approaches. The AEMS comprises a program of lectures, (panel) discussions and workshops and takes place in Vienna. The not-for-profit program is organized as a cooperation project by OeAD student housing, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU) and the Economy for the Common Good.

Introducing this years lecturers📖: Felipe Viveros!

Felipe is an independent action researcher and strategist specializing in campaigning, program design, and indigenous rights.

He serves as the chair of The Rules and is the European representative for the GNH Centre Bhutan, where he promotes the Gross National Happiness development paradigm. He is also the founder of the Black Line Initiative, a consultancy collaborating with the Kogi people of Colombia, and holds an MSc in Holistic Science from Schumacher College.
