Design studio with seminar is devoted to the exploration of House Museums, as specific typology in the museum sector. The lecturers aim at discussing the house museum starting from the atelier and house of the Norwegian-born American sculptor who has been living here from 1924/5 to 1940.
The houses involved in this design studio, beside House Museum Hendrik C. Andersen, are Casa Giorgio de Chirico, Casa Keats-Shelley, Casa Mario Praz and Casa Giacinto Scelsi. The shots on display arose from the suggestions aroused by these unique places, often inspired and sometimes referable to the archive photos preserved in the same houses, with the aim of making less obvious and less usual aspects known and to do so through reinterpretations and contemporary look. The contribution is meant to discuss the state of the art and on the management, regulatory, communication, promotion and of the aspects linked to valorization of individual realities. In relation to the Museum Hendrik C. Andersen, each student will be given a specific task - a design to work out in detail. Detailed documents will be distributed at the first meeting on 17.10.2024 (Lecture's Day).
