International Cuisine:
Last week it was American Cuisine in our international cooking class. We prepared many typical American dishes. On the menu was:
Cesar Salad, Clam Chowder, Beef Tenderloin with Pepper sauce and for dessert, Blueberry Muffins. What are some of your favorite American foods which we can try making in our next cooking class?

to when ICHM visited the winery Brigitte Braunstein in Burgenland. We were showed around the vineyard which is 22 hectares big. This produces about 100,000 bottles of wine per year. The red wines produced are Blaufränkisch, Pinot Noir and Zweigelt and the white wines include Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. The region in Burgenland is very well known for its red wines. After, we were able to do a wine tasting of all the different wines. The Pinot Blanc was definitely our favourite! Do you know any other great wineries in Austria? Let us know!

We know a lot professional coffee & cocktail knowledge from bar and coffee house which we can chose in the second or fourth semester. During the coffee excursion, we tried different types coffee and also practiced
a cup of Coffee Latte.

In the third semester, we had pastry class with Ms. Egger. We learned how to bake Austrian style cake and cookies, e.g. Sacher cake, Salzburg Nockerl, Sweet dumpling, etc.

Before we begin to speak about ICHM, we would like to introduce ourselves!

Kitti Balakina : Hey! My name is Kitti smile emoticon I'm from Hungary , I'm 22 years old and my hobbies are painting, doing sports and traveling. After ICHM, I'd like to work and then later open my own business. Wish me luck ;)

David ( Nan Chen) : I'm 22 from China. I'm very interested in this industry. My favorite classes are cooking and service. I love Viennese dishes such as Sacher cake. One day I hope to open my own restaurant in China.

Sunny ( Rong Rong Feng) : I'm Sunny from China. I enjoy traveling and taking photos so I promise to provide this page with loads of pictures smile emoticon I'm planning on opening my business back in China.

Flora Fischbacher : Hi! I'm Flora from the US, Colorado and I'm 20. I love skiing, cooking and most of all traveling. I hope to stay in Vienna for a few more years and begin working in a hotel. Eventually, I plan on moving back to my hometown and opening up my own restaurant.

Stefanie Luft : Hi, I'm Stefanie! I am 21 and I come from amazing Venezuela. I'm really interested in Event Management and I hope to start my own company in this field smile emoticon

Benjamin Rankin:

Clara Wallner : Hey! I'm 21 years old and I'm from Austria but I've lived my whole life in Uruguay. After completing this course, I'd like to open my business but not necessarily in the gastronomy business. Maybe something creative.

Kenneth Wong : I'm a 20 years old boy from Hong Kong. The main reason to come to Austria was to broaden my horizons and experience different cultures. As a hobby, I like to play video games and listen to music.

Kevin Xia : I'm Kevin, 20 years old from Austria but I live in China. I love to play basketball and meet new people. After ICHM, I hope to succeed in hotel industry.

Eric: I come from China. I am interested in cooking such as Viennese pastries. Later on, I'd like to go to Paris,France and learn more about pastry and French cuisine smile emoticon
