Behind every flight-ready design is a lot of simulation work. ✈️
Before AVA ever leaves the ground, we need to know exactly how air will move around it, that's where CFD comes in. 💻 Using the Aero Workspace in ANSYS Fluent, we run simulations to test and optimize AVA's aerodynamics across different flight conditions, helping us refine the design and get a first grasp on the actual performance of the aircraft.
This simulation uses the k-ω-SST turbulence model, one of the industry standards for predicting airflow over an aircraft, and is a key part of how we validate our design before it ever leaves the ground.
The pathlines you see show airflow moving around AVA's nose and wing root, colored by velocity magnitude — from slower flow, blue, to faster flow, red. It's one of the details we look at closely when refining the aerodynamics.

Hinter jedem flugbereiten Design steckt jede Menge Simulationsarbeit. ✈️
