Why study sustainable food systems? Because making food production safer and more sustainable for the future requires people who combine scientific research with a global perspective.

That’s exactly what Sruthi Sathi Kumar found in the Danube AgriFood Master at BOKU University.

From studying in Prague and Vienna to working in a food microbiology lab, the international programme combines hands-on research with new perspectives on sustainability, agriculture and food safety.

Today, Sruthi is developing faster methods to detect bacteria in food and hopes to continue her path in research with a PhD after graduation.

Why study sustainable food systems? Because making food production safer and more sustainable for the future requires people who combine scientific research with a global perspective.

That’s exactly what Sruthi Sathi Kumar found in the Danube AgriFood Master at BOKU University.

From studying in Prague and Vienna to working in a food microbiology lab, the international programme combines hands-on research with new perspectives on sustainability, agriculture and food safety.

Today, Sruthi is developing faster methods to detect bacteria in food and hopes to continue her path in research with a PhD after graduation.

On this day, several Master’s programmes focusing on climate change, wildlife ecology, plant breeding and sustainable agriculture and food systems will be presented.
