Flinders University Library

Flinders University Library Flinders University Library consists of 5 branches: Central, Sturt, Tonsley, City and the Gus Fraenkel Medical Library.

Our mission: the Library transforms lives through championing equitable access to and engagement with knowledge. Flinders University Library consists of Central Library (including the Law Collection), the Sturt and Gus Fraenkel Medical Libraries. Librarian support is available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (excluding public holidays). Our libraries are open 24/7 using your current Flinders ID swipe card.

To request 24/7 access to Central or Sturt libraries, or if you have any issues with your access, please email a photo of your current Flinders ID card to Security at [email protected]

Access to the Gus Fraenkel Medical Library is available 24/7 to students and staff with a current SAHLN/FMC ID card. For any access issues please visit FMC Security on Level 2 near the North/Kangaroo lifts. On the road with the library 🚗

Over the past few weeks, we joined teams across the University for Rural, Regional and Remote visits to Mt Gambier (Berrin), Renmark, Darwin (Garramilla) and Alice Springs (Mparntwe).

From presentations to one-on-one support, it was all about connecting with students, researchers and staff in their local spaces. 

Along the way, our staff shared how the library can support study and research — and of course brought along some library merch featuring the ‘Journey into the Heart of Knowledge’ artwork. It was also nice to explore and play tourist! 

A huge thank you to our colleagues across SLSS, SESU, OASIS, FUSA, Student Council and Research Development & Support.
