Book Week starts tomorrow!! 📚💫

This year’s theme, Symphony of Stories, is all about the way books create their own kind of music.

To celebrate, our staff are sharing their favourite childhood books - ones that stuck with us and turned us into lifelong bookworms 🪱

Short stories, big impact đź“–đź’Ą

For our next book club, Marina Deller has handpicked a reading list that proves the smallest stories can hit the hardest.

They’re all part of the library’s Read & Return collection, so you can browse the full list on the day and take some home with you.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane!

We’ve pulled a bunch of photos and Orientation handbooks from the archives to show you what O’Week at Flinders has looked like over the years. It’s safe to say a few things have changed (and a few haven’t!).

This collection spans from the 1960s right through to 2019. You can also see some of these items in person, along with even more Flinders history and artefacts, in the Flinders Through Time display on Level 3 of the Central Library.

A big thank you to FUSA and our archives team for providing these photos đź’›
