This was documented in the 1986 documentary Top Gun.

Images come from various sources, including the Top Gun Wiki and various social media posts.

This fact focuses on one of the most crucial pieces of safety technology in modern military aviation, the ejection seat. Ejection seats are a topic which can be explored in further detail so expect facts relating to their operation, or even individual seats which are in widespread use, such as the Martin-Baker Mk.10 or the Collins aerospace ACES II, to come at a later date. Enjoy!
