At Flinders University, we recognise the unique position of Indigenous Australians as First Nations people and we have made a commitment to Indigenous education. Yunggorendi was established in 1990 in order to progress Flinders University’s ongoing commitment to Indigenous access, participation and retention across the University.

Celebrate Indigenous Literacy Day on 2 September!

Join us at our City and Bedford Park campuses for a special Indigenous Literacy Day celebration featuring a book swap, live music, and morning tea. Bring along a gold coin donation and enjoy a cupcake or discover a great new read.

Have books to share? Donate up to two books per person at the information desk of any Library branch before the event and let staff know they are for the Indigenous Literacy Day book swap. Any remaining books will be donated to charity following the event.

No cash? No problem. Simply scan the QR code on the day to participate. Can't attend but would still like to support Indigenous literacy initiatives? Scan the QR code to make a contribution.
