Researchers at the University of Adelaide and Flinders University are currently seeking 14-to-17 year olds to participate in a study aiming to document the potentially negative content young Australians are seeing online, and to understand whether and how this content may impact their mental health (e.g., symptoms of depression and anxiety). Participation involves completing a once-off online survey (15-20 minutes), followed by a 5-minute survey each evening for one week. Participants will be financially reimbursed for their time with a $20 Target voucher and go into the draw to win a $100 Target voucher.

If you are interested, please email [email protected] (or click the link in our bio!) Parents are required to consent to their child’s participation via a short online survey, after which we will get the adolescent started in the study.

This project is approved by the Flinders University Human Research Ethics Committee (Project ID: 5179).

Looking for a fun, free activity these April school holidays?

Develop Well Labs from the School of Psychology at the University of Adelaide are hosting, research-based activities exploring here at the Museum, focusing on emotions, logic, attention and memory.

Find them on Level 2 in our Learning Space between 10:30am - 3pm:

Children (and grown-ups!) can collect stickers, wristbands and temporary tattoos as they complete each activity. Free and drop-in friendly - no bookings needed!

How well can you and your child understand each others emotions? 🤩

Researchers at The University of Adelaide are currently looking for parents and children (aged 4-10) to participate in a study investigating how families express and understand emotion with each other.

You are invited to participate in a series of fun and interactive emotion guessing games with your children. Children will receive a small gift and certificate for their participation.
