🌿 Celebrating leadership and connection across South Australia’s horticulture community
Ironwood Institute was delighted to attend the recent Annual General Meeting of the Horticulture Media Association of South Australia (HMA SA).
The well-attended gathering provided a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with horticultural communicators, industry professionals and garden enthusiasts while exchanging ideas and discussing developments across the sector.
We extend our sincere appreciation to HMA SA Chair Michael Keelan, who stepped into the role following the sad passing of Kelvin Trimper. Michael has led the Association with exceptional dedication, strength and generosity over the past few years.
We also congratulate former Chair Kim Syrus on his return to the role. Michael will continue as Chair until the conclusion of Laurels at Carrick Hill in September, after which Kim will formally take over. We thank them both for their leadership, teamwork and commitment to South Australia’s horticulture community.
A highlight of the evening was an inspiring presentation by Heather Croall AM, the newly appointed Director of Carrick Hill. Heather shared her vision for this iconic South Australian estate and spoke about the powerful connections between its historic house, magnificent gardens, arts, heritage and visitor experiences.
Ironwood Institute is proud to support opportunities that bring our industry together, strengthen professional connections and promote the important role of horticulture in creating a greener future.
