Today our Diploma of Community Services students had the opportunity to hear from Kala, Director of Women’s Community Centre, who joined us as a guest speaker.

Kala provided valuable insight into the role of Women’s Community Centres and the practical processes involved in developing, implementing, and evaluating community service programs. During their last week of classes for this year, our students visited the South Australian Museum for a guided Aboriginal cultural tour, a reminder that learning begins with listening and understanding.

With five floors of history, culture, and scientific discovery, the Museum offers incredible insight into Australia’s past, including the world’s most comprehensive collection of Australian Aboriginal cultural material.

Experiences like today reinforce the importance of cultural awareness, respect, and inclusion in everything we do.
