Today our Diploma of Community Services students had the opportunity to hear from Kala, Director of Women’s Community Centre, who joined us as a guest speaker.
Kala provided valuable insight into the role of Women’s Community Centres and the practical processes involved in developing, implementing, and evaluating community service programs. Her presentation highlighted how responsive program design, stakeholder collaboration, and community consultation contribute to sustainable and inclusive services.
Opportunities like this are essential in bridging theory and practice for our students, strengthening their understanding of real-world community development and service delivery.
Thank you, Kala, for sharing your expertise and contributing to the professional growth of our future community services practitioners.
