Fourth Trimester Services

Hi everyone apologies about being a little quiet the last few months. But things have been a bit hectic to put it lightly.

To summarise we've welcomed our beautiful little boy into our family (so now have two kids under two), sold our house & are currently packing madly to head off travelling around Australia.

Amongst all the chaos I'm currently offering to sell my business to anyone who may be interested.

You don't have to be a health professional as all the research and information sourcing has already been done when I started the business.

As part of the sale all equipment, resources and education involved with the process from start to finish is included.
I'm just looking to covers cost at this stage and not profit from the sale, as I feel it's a fantastic service to offer within the area.
I'd love to know the service will continue.

There is grounds to grow and shape the business to however you envision.

Again the decison is made on such uninformed grounds and just makes me furious!
The point "But the college representing obstetricians is standing by its recommendation, which warns the use of water immersion presents “an unacceptable risk” in areas coronavirus is circulating, because personal protective equipment was ineffective when wet." Is absolute rubbish, as PPE approved for use in high risk areas (which apparrently now maternity is rated the same as a designated covid ward) is independently tested against fluid resistance (so is able to be exposed to fluids splashed on the surface without reducingits efficacy) before it is allocated by the DHHS to hospitals.
The midwife isn't the one in the shower or bath, it's the woman!
And I've assisted multiple women to birth in the bathroom but the shower was off, so again the risk is removed and I'm pretty confident to say internal examinations aren't routinely performed under a running shower or while the woman is submerged in the bath, which is the only other way PPE would "get wet".
Maybe I'm wrong and the "professional" who has made the decision is far more talented than I ever was 🤔

This is ridiculous. It's inhumane to withhold access to analgesia, which is exactly how hot water in labour functions. How can a shower or water immersion possibly increase risks of spreading Covid? Stupidity is hitting an all time high.

If anyone was wondering with visting restrictions and social distancing services I'm still open for business and comply with all social distancing requirements.

All booking and payment is contact free via an online booking link I can send you or you can access through the page.
The only adjustment is your support person will need to bring your labelled placenta (labelled with hospital identification stickers) to the ward entrace for collection or take it home and freeze. I am happy to collect from alternative locations and as always follow safe transport guidelines.

I can organise delivery to your support person for collection, deliver to your home or arrange a courier service at your convenience.

In regards to expecting parents who may be faced with potential of carrying Covid-19 all research indicates there is no transfer via placenta, therefore no risks are associated with placenta encapsulation. If you would like more info I can send you a peer reviewed research article.
