This Allied Health Professions Day, we want to say thank you. 💙

The theme is Allied health: For everyone, everywhere, and it’s a fitting one. From hospitals and aged care to schools and remote practice, allied health professionals help people recover, stay well and live independently.

Our Training Manager – Health Programs, Kaye Amos-Fleming, says:
“We recognise the essential work allied health professionals do to improve wellbeing across every setting — from hospitals and community services to schools, aged care and remote practice. As Training Manager – Health Programs at UNE Partnerships, I want to thank the AHPs we work alongside, and especially those who take the time to support our Allied Health Assistant students. By sharing your expertise and modelling person-centred, team-based care, you’re not just helping students complete placement — you’re strengthening a future workforce in allied health that can deliver better outcomes for all communities.”

Our educators are allied health professionals themselves, and they bring real clinical experience into every class, placement and conversation. You teach the skills, but you also model the compassion, patience and teamwork that make allied health what it is. Our students carry that into every community they work in.

A big congratulations to Xander! 🎉

Xander has been recognised with a VET Excellence Award for his dedication, resilience and incredible growth throughout his Allied Health studies.

Nominated by his educator, Tatjana Apostoloski, Xander’s story is a wonderful example of what VET in Schools can offer young people: the opportunity to build practical skills, discover their strengths and take meaningful steps towards their future career.

Despite starting his program several weeks late, Xander worked hard to catch up with his peers and went on to excel in his studies.

We’re so proud to celebrate this achievement with Xander and Tatjana. Congratulations! 👏💙

Does your organisation have a list of skills everyone should have, but no real plan for how they are supposed to build them? 🤔
When it comes to upskilling your team, good intentions simply aren't enough. A competency framework is a fantastic starting point for identifying skill gaps. But without a clear learning pathway, your team might be left wondering what they are actually supposed to do next.
If you want to turn your company's capability goals into a concrete action plan, our latest guide covers exactly why you need to pair your frameworks with structured learning.
Check out the full article below.

A competency framework defines the capabilities an organisation needs, while a learning pathway provides a structured way to develop those capabilities. Without a learning pathway, a competency framework can remain a document rather than becoming a practical tool for capability development.

Are you training just for the sake of training, or are you actually changing workplace behaviours? 🤔
It’s easy to jump straight into creating a new course the moment a business gap appears. But the most successful organisations do something different first: they pause and analyse.
Strategic Learning Design is all about doing the groundwork before building the course. It ensures your training budget is spent solving the actual problem, not just putting a band-aid on it.
Want to know how the best teams approach their workforce training?
Check out our latest guide on why analysis must always come before action: 🔗

Effective learning design starts with understanding the workforce challenge an organisation is trying to solve. This helps ensure learning investment is aligned to genuine capability gaps, workforce requirements and strategic goals.
