A prayer request πŸ™

Tonight we will be hosting clergy from across the Diocese for an evening of shared conversation, good food, and unhurried time together.

Dr Amy Erickson will be reflecting on her new book, Sabbath Gospel, and what its vision of Sabbath, rest, and the church's calling might mean for church ministry.

Would you join us in praying that this will be a rich night of fellowship as we reflect on God's life- and rest-giving word.

Ever tried explaining the Christian teaching about the Trinity … and realised how hard that actually is?

Dr Jacqueline Service recently joined Hope 103.2 for a conversation exploring one of the deepest and most beautiful mysteries of the Christian faith: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit β€” one God in three persons.

If you’ve ever wondered why the Trinity matters (or how to explain it without getting completely tangled!), this interview is for you.

Dr Jacqueline Service is the Director of St Mark’s National Theological Centre and Senior Lecturer in Systematic Theology at Charles Sturt University, Canberra. Speaking with Hope Mornings, Jacqui wants to share God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in straightforward ways. Yes, the Trinity is compl...

Small groups are where discipleship happens. So training the people who lead them matters enormously.

On Saturday, 25 people from Goulburn and across the region gathered at St Nicholas Anglican Church for a day of Bible study leaders training hosted by St Mark's. Rev Anna Boxwell led practical sessions on leading groups, reading Scripture, preparing studies, and building communities marked by prayer, mutual care, and welcome.

"It was great to gather with people from different churches and think deeply about how we can lead small groups well so that people can read the Bible for themselves." β€” Rev Tim Lowth, Hope Anglican Church, Goulburn

If training like this would strengthen your local church, get in touch with Rev Anna Boxwell.

What a trip! 🌏

Our Director, Dr Jacqueline Service, and Rev Anna Boxwell (Lead – Ministry Development) recently travelled to the UK for a series of rich conversations about theological education and the future of ministry.

In London, they spent time with the wonderful team at St Mellitus College β€” Dr Sara Schumacher, Rev Ali Hogger-Gadsby, Rev Mark Tatton, Rev Dr Grace Bally-Balogun, Rev Dr Marcus Throup and Rev Ed Olsworth-Peter β€” exploring what it means to equip the saints for the works of ministry ahead.

In Oxford, they sat down with Sam Lim (Lead Pastor, Flow Church Burwood, Melbourne) and Dr David Bennett (theologian and scholar at Oxford University) for more great conversation β€” and prayer.

We're so grateful for the friendships and partnerships that stretch across hemispheres, and to connect with leaders who are committed to building a strong ministry pipeline for the growth of the church.
