✨ WHAT IS RPL? A SIMPLE EXPLANATION FOR PEOPLE ALREADY WORKING IN THE INDUSTRY ✨

A lot of people have been working in beauty, spa or massage for years. They’ve got real hands-on skills, solid experience with clients, and know the job well — but they may not yet have the right qualification in Australia 🇦🇺

So in that situation, do you need to start all over again?

The answer is: not necessarily.

RPL stands for Recognition of Prior Learning. In simple terms, it’s a process that assesses and recognises the skills and experience you already have.

For example, you may be worth looking into RPL if you:

✅ Have worked in beauty, spa or massage for years
✅ Have real hands-on experience with clients
✅ Understand work procedures, techniques, and client care
✅ Have photos, videos, documents, or other evidence related to your work

If that sounds like you, RPL may be a pathway worth exploring.

One important thing to understand is this: RPL is not “buying a qualification”. It’s an assessment process based on your actual skills and the supporting evidence you provide.
