Black Fox Theatre

Black Fox Theatre Duck. To keep up to date on the sordid affairs of Black Fox Theatre: Like them on facebook or follow them on twitter ().

Black Fox Theatre is a crack team of young, brave storytellers trained in the arts of theatre, assassination and guerilla warfare, carrying out any or all of these things all at once, all over Brisbane, when you least expect it.

Filmed and edited by Adrian Goleby, Directed by Black Fox Theatre founder Daniel Broderick Grey. You may remember Rise Overrun's front man Sam from such films as he was Vader. He played Darth Vader.

Enjoy.

The emperor has made a mortal error.
The time for our attack is now at hand.
Intelligence vouchsaf’d to us by Belgian
spies doth give certain location of
the Emp’ror’s new and deadly war machine...

It's at 359 Queen Street.

The Death Star Canteen opens Wednesday, June 1st, and if you're there at 2pm you might just see our brave Shakespearean rebels facing up to the Empire and their fearsome selection of sandwiches. Many Belgians died to bring us this information.

Best. Cafe. Ever.

May the 4th be with you.

Brisbane artist and lead singer of Caligula's Horse Jim Grey has something to say about Boat People.

The piece was originally performed during the band's acceptance speech at the Queensland Music Awards.

It is inspiring to see Australian artists use their platform to send a message of compassion.

To borrow from Jim's other works, "Bury hate with the coward, the answer is love."

Last week marked the 5th anniversary of Black Fox Theatre's first production, 'Or What You Will'.

Our adaptation of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' saw us working with the Griffith University psychology and applied theatre departments to develop a new and unique take on the classic comedy, exploring mental illness, loss, love, laughter and music all at once in an empty swimming pool in Mt Gravatt.

It was the perfect beginning of the company's journey; a very human tale, and one we'd love to tell again, but what the Black Fox has in store for us next is anybody's guess. 5 years and 9 productions on, we're still looking for new ways to f**k with the classics.

Tonight one of our performers heads straight from the New Globe Theatre to the airport. Michelle Zahner, a member of the original 2010 core ensemble, flies for Edinburgh where she'll be working as Deputy Manager of Fringe Central and Events with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe society.

If you can catch her before she flees the scene tonight, be sure to wish her luck!
