Skills in action! Our MEM20422 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways program is well underway, and we couldn't be prouder of what our participants are achieving.

In partnership with MRAEL , this 9-week hands-on program is giving job seekers, young people, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants the chance to build real engineering skills—and the progress so far has been fantastic to watch.

So far participants have been getting stuck on:
⚙️ Welding & fabrication
🤝 Teamwork & communication
🛠️ Hand tools & power tools
📐 Introductory engineering fundamentals

What makes this cohort especially great is its diversity—people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and starting points, all coming together with a shared goal. Every week brings new skills, growing confidence, and another step closer to apprenticeships and employment. This is what a genuine pathway into engineering looks like.

🎓🔥 CONGRATULATIONS, FABRICATION CLASS OF TERM 2, 2026! 🔥🎓

After 2 years of sparks, grinding, welding, measuring, re-measuring, forgetting job cards, borrowing safety glasses, asking "Can I weld?", and occasionally following instructions... they finally made it! 😂

Today we celebrated a fantastic group of future fabricators, welders, workshop comedians, professional procrastinators, unofficial supervisors, and all-around legends.

Over the past two years, they've built more than just metal projects—they've built friendships, skills, confidence, and enough memories to fill an entire workshop.

From perfect welds to "character-building" welds...
From missing PPE to borrowed PPE...
From "I know what I'm doing" to "Can you show me again?"...
This group has kept us laughing every step of the way.

We're incredibly proud of every one of you and can't wait to see where your careers take you next.

Congratulations graduates! 🎉
