HLTAID011 Provide First Aid covers the skills and knowledge to provide a first aid response to a casualty.

The day includes CPR, managing incidents, basic life support and treating a range of common conditions, from bleeding and burns to asthma and anaphylaxis. You also learn to use an AED.

It suits anyone who needs to meet workplace first aid requirements, including childcare and education staff, and construction and hospitality workers.

Working with or around alcohol in NSW? SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol is the nationally recognised unit that covers it.

You learn NSW liquor laws and your responsibilities, how to identify and refuse service to intoxicated patrons, and how to manage alcohol-related harm in venues such as bars, restaurants and licensed events.

Face-to-face session: Wednesday 14 October, 9 am to 5 pm, Level 3, 1 Fitzwilliam Street, Parramatta. The course is also available online and self-paced, with 30 days to complete. Online students need a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) before enrolling. You can create one at usi.gov.au.
