mitment to addressing problems of concern to the community. The program has grown from niche origins in 1991 to become a vibrant multidisciplinary community, incorporating expertise in sociology, psychology, law, public policy, information technology, geography, history and social work. The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice has 35 staff teaching into a suite of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Research is also conducted through two associated centres, the Centre of Excellence in Policing and Security (CEPS) and the Key Centre for Ethics, Law, Justice and Governance (KCELJAG). In addition to academic and research staff, the Griffith criminology community includes over 60 PhD students, mostly funded by scholarships. The overall criminology community amounts to well over a hundred scholars, providing a depth of expertise and critical mass that generates exciting opportunities for collaboration and teamwork in key focus areas.

Recent Criminology Graduate Casey Cale did her Masters degree completely online and graduation was the first time she met her supervisor A/Prof Molly Dragiewicz in person.

Casey completed an industry-led thesis project while working full-time for a DV service at home during COVID lockdown in rural Victoria. In addition to this amazing achievement, Casey also had a baby 6 months ago!

What a remarkable journey, we look forward to hearing where your degree takes you!
