QLD Open Night 2026 ✅

AKA: A glimpse into what studying with APC and pursuing a career in emergency healthcare looks like 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

Wednesday night saw us welcome future healthcare professionals to our Queensland campus for an evening of industry insights (from employers/employees in the field), a practical scenario demonstration and plenty of questions answered!

Our Queensland trainers, Ash and Jens , shared insights into what it looks , answered questions and gave attendees a closer look at what to expect throughout their training.

A highlight of the evening was watching a group of our Workshop 2 students put their skills into action with a live emergency scenario demonstration! 👏

A special shoutout to APC graduates Penne and Drew, who joined us representing Qld Emergency Medical Services - QEMS Both are now studying their Bachelor of Paramedicine whilst working and mentoring students!

Also, A big thank you also to Amber from Scenic First Aid, one of our valued student placement providers, for sharing her time and industry insights. 💙

Did you know that during Workshop 1, students learn and put into practice skills like IM injections and medication preparation?

These skills help students learn how to safely prepare medications and administer injections into the muscle, building confidence in techniques they may use when providing patient care in emergency healthcare settings.

And that’s only a snapshot of the practical skills covered throughout Workshop 1 👏🏽

A big congratulations to these two NSW Workshop 1 cohorts who recently completed their Workshop 1 hands-on training!
