🚀 Something special is happening at The Makers.
For the first time, young people on the North West Coast can now access a complete, free STEM learning pathway—from early childhood right through to senior secondary—every single week, in one place.
🆕 Introducing Future Makers (Ages 5–8)
A brand new after-school STEM program for Kinder to Grade 2 students, designed to build confidence, creativity, and real problem-solving skills through hands-on learning.
🕒 Thursdays | 3:00 – 4:00 PM
📍 The Makers – UTAS Cradle Coast Campus, Burnie
Students will:
🧱 Take on engineering and design challenges
🤖 Explore early robotics and technology
🧠 Build critical thinking and problem-solving skills
🤝 Work collaboratively in team-based activities

🔬 Maker Lab (Grades 7–12) (Thursdays 4-6, free)
Advanced STEM learning, innovation, entrepeneurship and industry-connected opportunities, including game design with Unity, FIRST Tech Challenge and Greenpower F24/F24+
🚀 STEM Unlimited (Grades 3–10) (Tuesdays 3:30-6, free)
Free access to world-class STEM programs including FIRST LEGO League and Greenpower
🏎️ STEM On Track (Grades 4–10) (Mondays 4-6, paid program)
Build, learn, and experience motorsport through hands-on STEM and interactive elearning
👉 From age 3 to 18, young people on the NW coast can now engage in meaningful, inspiring, high-quality STEM learning every single week.
